Story
Ambohimena is one of the eight cacao farms of the MAVA Estate in the northwest of Madagascar, located north from Ambanja, the district’s capital. Silva selected this cacao because of its aromatic round profile with fresh flavours of citric fruits and mint. The cacao has been rewarded with a Cocoa of Excellence award in 2019.
Supply chain
100% traceable supply chain. Beans are harvested, fermented, dried, picked, screened and packed in 65 kg jute bags on a single farm. Transport by truck to the port of Antsiranana

Flavour profile
Aromatic round profile, low in chocolaty level, with alternating flavours of dried fruit, nuts and sweetness, fresh red fruits and spices, and a long finish with hints of mint.
